MormonTabernacleChoir.org is sensitive to the privacy expectations of Internet users who visit this site. Therefore, we endeavor to provide you all information regarding our identity, how we use personal information that is collected, and how to contact us. We also inform you of all potential recipients of the personal information provided.

Our Identity and How to Contact Us

This platform for this site is provided by DeseretBook.com, but the site is owned and operated by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir which exists under the legal structure of Corporation of the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the “Choir”,  “us” or like terms). We provide all content for the site. Users can contact us by linking to the Feedback page and leaving a message detailing any questions or concerns.

Personal Information: Collection and Use Personal Data. You are not required to provide any personal information to access this site.  If you wish to receive additional information about the Choir including upcoming events or releases and a subscription to the Choir’s e-newsletter, you are required to register by providing us your e-mail address.  Other information you may provide is your name, city, state and zip code.  You may cease receiving additional information about the Choir by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email you receive from us. If any problems are encountered regarding any requests or the collection or use of your personal information, you can contact us by phone or by mail as listed on the Contact Us page.

If you wish to request tickets to upcoming Choir performances, those tickets are requested through ticketing feature on the Temple Square Events page of LDS.org, an affiliated site.  Additional personal information is required to register for tickets including providing your name, mailing address, country of residence and phone number to help facilitate delivery of the tickets. This additional personal information is governed by the privacy policy found on LDS.org and we encourage you to read that privacy policy and make sure it meets your expectations of privacy before registering for tickets. 

You may also provide personal information through other features that may be created for this site in the future.  For example, you may provide personal information when you send messages, respond to questions, engage in on-line chats, upload photos, upload video clips or provide other information when and if such options become available on this site. Because you may voluntarily disclose personal information publically when posting, transmitting, or uploading content, you must be careful regarding what information you choose to disclose.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We regard your personal information as confidential and do not sell it or share it with other parties except in the limited circumstances described in this Privacy Policy.  Please be aware that any information you voluntarily choose to display on any portion of this site that becomes publically available (online posts, chats, and so forth) may be seen and used by others. 

Third Party Providers.  We do not sell your personal information.  We may provide your personal information to third parties for their use in performing internal functions on our behalf (maintenance, security, data analysis, hosting, and so forth) including to Deseret Book for the purpose of notifying you of upcoming releases of Choir music or the availability of related Choir items.  These third parties may not use or share your personal information for any other purpose.

Legal Requirements.  We may disclose your personal information if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is required by a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order or otherwise required by law.  Additionally, we may disclose your personal information and other information where we, in good faith, deem it appropriate or necessary to prevent a violation of our Conditions of Use, or other agreements; to take precautions against liability; to protect the rights, property, or safety of this site, any individual, or the general public; to maintain and protect the security and integrity of our services or infrastructure; to protect ourselves and our services from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses; to investigate and defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations; or to assist government enforcement agencies.

Cookies and Clear Gifs. In our effort to improve your site experience, we may use cookies and clear gifs to provide pages and features that are most compatible with your preferences.  Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Children under 13 wishing to receive the Choir updates and e-newsletter are encouraged to have their parent or guardian subscribe and oversee the child’s access to any materials the parent or guardian receives.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites. For your own protection, you should review the policies of those sites to ensure they meet your personal expectations of privacy.

Future Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of the Privacy Policy at any time.  As we are not in a position to notify all users of material changes in our Privacy Policy, we encourage you to check the Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed of any changes.  We will maintain an effective date of the most recently posted policy so you can quickly determine if there have been any revisions since your last visit to the site.
